There’s a lot of hate in the world, but we shouldn’t forget that there’s also a lot of love. Let’s work on remembering and sharing the love too!

Damn daylight savings time... grumble grumble grumble.

I’m really not feeling like working today.

Purdue Pharma largely created the opioid crisis in the US.

Today, Purdue Pharma announced that they've received fast-track status on a new drug that claims to be the antidote to opioid overdoses.

I wish I was making this shit up.

I’m listening to Renée DiReta on the Joe Rogan show and I really dig her vocabulary. It’s not that she’s using some obscure words, but she has a nice collection of synonyms.

I’m going to try and use “myriad” and “curfuffle” more often.

Is it a good, bad, or neutral idea to run certain daemons as system daemons, rather than as the user? For example, what are the pros and cons of running mpd as a systemd service instead of starting it as the user?
I would configure the conf file in etc to match what I have in my home directory.
Same for transmission-daemon and anything else I can think of. Is it beneficial to run my daily driver more like a server?

It was aight. I’m happy that I tried it, but won’t get it again.

About to try the Kyoto Matcha IPA. Sounds like such a weird, but possibly good taste combo.

Masto: remember to add image descriptions and don't use those weird emoji fonts because it's bad for screen readers

also Masto: indecipherable Unicode in usernames, :verified: emojis and pride hearts that definitely do not work well with a screen reader, key smashing, full-width text 𝓪𝓷𝓭 𝔀𝓮𝓲𝓻𝓭 𝓤𝓷𝓲𝓬𝓸𝓭𝓮 𝓯𝓸𝓷𝓽𝓼 and lots of custom emoji? :pawft1_ok:

I’m a strong, independent orc. I don’t need no prophecy.
